Dixie Cousins

Played by Kelly Rutherford

Kelly Rutherford later played 'Caitlin' in the short-lived "Kindred: The Embraced", on Fox.

a.k.a. Myra Simon

A singer and Mae West-ish femme fatale, Dixie turns up repeatedly to bedevil, or help (or both) Brisco. Whatever happens, Dixie always seems to land on her feet, somewhere near Brisco. Dixie and Brisco are "meant for each other", though things always seem to go awry with their long-range relationship (there isn't anything wrong with their short-term relationships, though :-)

Dixie has a sister, Dolly. She is also a femme fatale and singer. Dixie and Dolly had a sister act back east. Both came west (separately), and both were (separately) abducted by Comanches.

Dixie was once married to Doc McCoy (in fact she still had warm feelings about Doc), one of Bly's gang (as seen in A.K.A. Kansas.) Doc goes so far as to attempt to commit suicide (via a very short-range gunfight with Brisco) if he cannot keep Dixie with him.

In Brisco in Jalisco, it is mentioned that Dixie may have a coin made with her face on it, as the "mother of the revolution.") In Deep in the Heart of Dixie, we see that this has indeed happened.
