Socrates Poole

Played by Christian Clemenson

Socrates Poole is legal councillor (and "lapdog") to the millionares who belong to the Westerfield Club. He acts as liaison between these money-men ("robber barons", as Brisco calls them) and Brisco and Bowler. As such he is directly involved in Brisco's adventures.

Although he vehemently denies it, Socrates snores very loudly (so much so that Brisco compares it unfavorably to a thunderstorm.)

Socrates has a sister Iphigenia (who is also a lawyer, seen in the episode "Socrates' Sister". His nickname as a child was "Bunny".

Socrates, during Deep in the Heart of Dixie became the object up the warm regard of one Rita Avnet while she infiltrated the Westerfield Club to assist Winston Smiles, the gourmet poisoner (the Westerfield club being pretty much totally destroyed as a result.) After being sent to jail, she broke out (in A.K.A. Kansas and stalked him in hopes of winning his affections. Socrates saves himself from Rita's violent attentions at the expense of Bowler's collection of expensive crystal.
