Dmitriy Fradkin, PhD

I received PhD in January 2006 from
Department of Computer Science
Rutgers, The State University of NJ

As of June 2007, I am at Siemens Corporate Research. Before that, from January 2006, I was at Ask Jeeves.

Background:

I am interested in machine learning (classification, cluster analysis) and its application to real-life problems,
such as data mining, information retrieval and biological data analysis.

My dissertation work focused on uses of cluster analysis for improving and interpreting results of classification methods.
My research advisors are Dr. Ilya Muchnik at DIMACS and Prof. Casimir Kulikowski.

I was one of the organizers of Statistical Learning Reading Group: ( schedule).

For a number of years (summer 2002- december 2005) I have worked as a GA (Graduate Assistant) on Monitoring Message Streams (MMS) project at DIMACS.

Before that I was a TA (Teaching Assistant) for cs112 (fall99-spring00) and cs323 (Numerical Analysis, fall00 - spring 01).

As an undergrad I double-majored in Mathematics and Computer Science at Brandeis University .
