Work/Research Interests
At a high level, my work related interests are as follows:
- Web and mobile web
- Content delivery to mobile devices
- Applications like streaming video and Voice over IP (VoIP) on
mobile devices
- Services ( e.g., location based services, emergency services
) on mobile devices
- Design and development of (mobile) web applications.
- Networks, Wireless networks, specifically WiMAX networks
- Overall architecture
- WiMAX devices, scenarios, network entry, security, etc.
- Interworking among different wireless and wireline networks.
- IP networks
- Computer vision and machine learning
I also worked extensively in computer vision and learning and published
many research papers in that area. My work in this area involved applying
machine learning methods to
- Many vision tasks like face detection,
detection of objects of many classes (like cars, motobikes, etc.)
- Face detection and identifying facial expression
(like happy, surprise, etc.).
- Face recognition, identifying make and model of cars.
- Robot navigation.
See my publications for details.
Teaching
