About Me

I am a researcher at Samsung Research America. I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from at Rutgers University, working under the supervision of Prof. Vinod Ganapathy. I have been a member of Laboratory for Networked Systems and Security group directed by Prof. Liviu Iftode and Prof. Vinod Ganapathy. I earned my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of engineering and Technology (BUET). Prior to joining Rutgers, I worked as a Lecturer at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BRAC University.

Research Interests: Software Security with current emphasis on Web browser security, User Interface Programming and Network Security

My main research focus is on simplifying secure front-end Web programming using techniques from JavaScript and Web browser Security, Program Analysis and Software Engineering, User Interface Technologies. My work is primarily motivated by the goal of attracting more third-party developers in the Web eco-system by aiding them with tools to simplify Web design and improve the security of their code. I have designed and developed tool to automatically generate code for flexible UI given a unrestricted, freely drawn mockup. For securing code I have designed and developed tools to verify if the code is secure, identify the security issues and automatically transform non-secure code to secure one. For this line of work the emphasis is on Web browser extensions.

In addition to this, my other research works are focused on improving network security by faster and memory-efficient processing of network data.

Personal

I hail from the beautiful country Bangladesh enriched with Cox's Bazar, the longest sea-beach and Sundarbans, the largest Mangrove Forest in the world. In Bangladesh I used to live in the capital, Dhaka city. My native language is Bengali.
In my spare time I love to sing, read books. I atake a special interest on travelling to new places, explore the beauty of nature and taste different cuisines.
