by Scott Selikoff The Application Oracle is a Windows-based program in Java that monitors the software applications a user selects and attempts to predict the next likely application the user will open using adaptive history-based pattern matching on live data. Although the program is materialized in Microsoft Windows, the core engine is flexible enough to be used as a general sequence predictor in many applications. After starting The Application Oracle, it initially makes poor predictions since it has limited history. Over time, as it learns more about the user, it starts to make predictions that more closely resemble a user's next likely choice. The predictions are shown both in the Oracle Window and as an auto-created shortcut in the user's Quick Launch bar. Downloads:
