Research

My research interest lies in building secure systems. During the course of my graduate studies I have worked on resolving security issues in operating systems, cloud computing and device drivers. I have designed, implemented and evaluated software as well as hardware systems. In cloud computing I have worked on providing integrity and confidentiality to cloud customers and improve the mutual trust between cloud providers and customers. In case of hardware systems I have worked on providing secure monitoring infrastructure using new multicore architecture having core-local memory and infrastructure for dynamic data structure monitoring using hardware transactional memory. Previously I have also worked on device drivers security. My advisor is Vinod Ganapathy.

I used to work on Communication technology for developing world with Umar Saif. I have worked on DitTorrent, a peer-to-peer dialup system for accelerated Internet access in the developing world inspired by Bittorrent.
