A Little About Me
I am a digital multimedia enthusiast, with background and experience in Image Compression and Analysis, Video
compression, DSP in general and digital rights management. Code development, applied research and technical writing are my favorite fields of work. Standards I
follow closely are MPEG-4, MPEG in general and JPEG 2000. I am
currently a Program Manager with Microsoft. Previously, I was a video
consultant for Eyemail Technology, a video e-mail company based in
Beijing. Until October
2001, I worked with e-Vue Inc, an MPEG-4 technology company spun
out of Sarnoff Labs.
My MSEE ('99) is from the
Department of Electrical Engineering at the
University of Washington . I did my research from within the Information
Processing Laboratory. The UW is located in the lovely and exhilerating city of
Seattle. Way back in 1997, I earned my Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
from VJTI. VJTI is located in
Bombay, the city where I grew up. Bombay is the financial and social capital of
India.
