Florin Sultan

I have graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University, where I was a member of the Distributed Computing (DISCO) Laboratory. My advisor was Liviu Iftode. I am currently with NEC Labs, Princeton, New Jersey.

Here is a copy of my Ph.D.thesis, System Support for Service Availability, Remote Healing and Fault Tolerance Using Lazy State Propagation.

• Backdoor Architecture, a system architecture for nonintrusive remote healing of computer systems.

• Service Continuations, an OS mechanism for dynamic migration of Internet service sessions.

• Migratory TCP (M-TCP), a reliable transport protocol that supports dynamic connection migration.
